Refunds of donations

Charitable donations to Sleepy Tales Farm Sanctuary are generally non-refundable. We recognize, however, that mistakes happen.

When we will refund

• Duplicate transactions (the same gift submitted twice in error).
• Incorrect amount (clear evidence the donor intended a different amount).
• Unauthorized transactions (someone other than the account holder submitted the gift).
• Recurring gifts after a cancellation request was made and not honored.

How to request a refund

Email [email protected] within 30 days of the transaction with the donor name, date, and amount. Approved refunds are issued back to the original payment method within 10 business days.

Cancelling a recurring gift

You can cancel a recurring monthly gift at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will confirm cancellation in writing.

Tax implications

If a refund is issued for a gift for which you have already received a tax receipt, you may need to adjust your charitable-contribution deduction. Consult your tax advisor.
